Jose Monteiro

Jose Monteiro serves as a Senior Vice President of Engineering at IgniteTech, leading engineering and Professional Services with a hands-on, AI-first approach to building products that solve real enterprise problems. He believes that the fastest path from idea to impact runs through working code — and that AI-first builders will consistently outpace traditional organizations in delivering meaningful solutions to customers.

Before IgniteTech, Jose spent years on the other side of the table. At Deloitte Brazil, he led the Hybrid and Generative AI practice, advising and building for enterprises across energy, mining, biopharma, and manufacturing. That consulting background gave him something rare in a product engineering leader: a deep understanding of how large organizations actually operate, where they get stuck, and what it takes to move them forward. Earlier in his career, he architected industrial AI platforms at Radix Engineering and built operations intelligence systems at Chemtech, a Siemens business.

Jose holds a degree in Control and Automation Engineering from UFRJ, completed MIT’s Applied Generative AI for Digital Transformation program, and earned a Georgia Tech MicroMasters in Analytics. He is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Today, he brings that dual perspective — builder and advisor, product and services — to IgniteTech’s mission of delivering powerful, AI-enabled solutions to customers worldwide. He stays in the code, leads by example, and fosters engineering cultures where rapid iteration, technical excellence, and customer obsession intersect.
